wilton way cafe, 63 wilton way london E8 1BG

nestled in a quiet street, it is not obvious to a non-local where this little cafe is situated. the cafe is specially designed by Dog & the Wardrobe with clever ideas such as using fruit crates underneath the benches to serve as extra tools or tables.

Sipping a cup of coffee and enjoying the colourful and intimate surroundings, I dived into my avocado on sourdough toast with olive oil, spicy red pepper flakes which looked and tasted good.

melrose and morgan 42 gloucester avenue london NW1 8JD

a modern grocery that offer fresh produce and uncomplicated ( albeit pricy)take away food. with an executive chef who worked in fat duck for seven years, and passionate about seasonality, one can hardly resist tasting all the food in the store. if nothing else, merely looking at the variety of the boxed cookies and chefs working at the open kitchen is enough to entertain.

P.S. salmon en croute tastes fantastic

mouse & de lotz on shacklewell lane

the part of Dalson that dubbed the fashion street, has a charming cafe with a vintage vibe. the furniture, the water bottles, the porcelain-like wall decoration, the mismatched plate tea set and other details show the thoughts and care that have put into the cafe.
Am also inspired by their stories - http://www.eatingeast.co.uk/2011/02/03/interview-team-at-mouse-de-lotz/ - everyone can dream on and fulfil their dreams.
