albion, the tea building, 56 shoreditch high street, London E1 6JJ

brunch is extravagant and comforting.
it is essentially saying it is okay to sleep in after a week's work and the food will be there for you when you feel like waking up.

the environment in albion has a rustic, calming element and the warm and fresh slice of bread was a bonus. A relaxing start of a beautiful Saturday.

bistrotheque restaurant/cabaret 23-27 Wadeson Street, London, E2 9DR

famous for its fashionable crowd and for its out of no where location. its gallery white minimalism, stylish waiters and piano music set the scene for a good hearty brunch. the food was surprisingly exceptional. it was one of those meals where you feel content and appreciate the thoughtfulness that the chef brought into the food.

look mum no hands cafe workshop/bar/cafe 49 Old Street, London EC1V 9HX

a simple idea. cyclists stop by to have a cup of coffee, to read a cyclist magazine, to check if the tyres are okay, to have something to nimble while waiting for the staff to fix it.

the member of staff assured me this is a cafe for everyone although it is cycle-themed. he also explained the playful name comes from an image of a kid first balanced his bike with no hands. the food is simple and homemade but you can tell from all the details of the cafe, that the owner is passionate and secretly begged for a place like this before opening his own store.

simplicity. passion. and a good idea.
